A solarium is a type of home addition that is made completely out of glass, including the walls and roof. Solariums can be heated and cooled for a year-round usage.


They allow optimal natural light to enter the room, they're used as greenhouses for flowers or plants that require a lot of sun. To prevent overheating in the summer, fans can be installed in the ceiling.


A solarium tends to be more expensive than sunroom systems.
